Track 7: Catch up!

Things that made me so happy this last week:

Aunt Alicia: Reese this is the 4th time I have told you, you need to go to sleep.
Reese: (growl) O.K. I'm trying!!!
(Ten minutes later I walk in Reese's room and she is laying upside down on her bed.)
Aunt Alicia: Reese what did I tell you...
Reese: But this just isn't working Lisha!

I was really sick a couple days that I spent with my Neice's and Nephew in Michigan. They were so patient with me. One day I spent most of the day on the couch I woke up to a note on my chest that said:
"Dear Aunt Alicia, I love you so much. I am so happy you are here. I miss my mom and dad but I'm happy you came to see me. I wish my Dad was here because he could give you a blessing and you would be healed. I will help you all that I can. Love Hallie"

Track 6: 1/21/11

Just found out my Brother Kyle and his Wife, Addie are expecting their 2nd baby AUGUST 23rd!!! YAHOOOOOO I love being an aunt and having a big family!  This will be niece/nephew # 8!!!
It's even better that I know we are sealed together for Time and all Eternity!  Families take on a incredible meaning when you know without any doubt that it's forever!!! Life is good!  Let's Dance to the music!

Track 5: 1/20/11

Driving out to the Syphon in the dead of night to scare the crap out of Monica and Monique!  This was Priceless...not to mention the gut-wrenching, can breath, tear jerking laugh that followed!

Track 4: 1/19/11

Tonight I had the opportunity to do the hair of a lady I really look up to.  She is quiet but very observant.  She is soft spoken but can easily convey what she wants you to hear.  She is beautiful because of the pure, honest, and soft heart that she has.  After small talk we started talking about my life, why I'm in Cody and some of the things I struggle with.  In a few short sentences she was able to make me feel more in control of my life then I have felt in months.

Thank you Sister Welch.  Nothing brings more happiness then experiencing it through someone who truely understands the plan of happiness.  You have made a difference in my life today!

Track 2: 1/17/11

Today is Martin Luther King Day & Michelle Obama's Birthday! Thank Heaven's for people who made it possible for me to have a day off work!!!  This alone made me happy, but to add to this wonderful day my friend Monica and I had a date at the laundry mat.  You may be saying this is nothing out of the ordinary since most people have to do laundry on a regular basis, what would you say if I told you we had no laundry to do...

So here's the story and I'm stickin' to it...I was craving movie theater popcorn so we went to the Big Horn Cinema's and ordered popcorn and a glass of ice. (We already had our own soda in the back of the car!)  We then headed to the Laundry Mat because I am cheep and I can get free Internet there. (I think my neighbor's blocked theirs!) So here we sit, eating our movie theater popcorn, drinking our Dr.Pepper, stealing the Internet from the public laundry mat and yes, I am happy!  If you aren't smiling by the end of this blog, you may just need to come hang with me in the laundry mat...let's start the music!!!

Track 1: 1/16/11

Today is the first day of forever!  I have decided this year that each day I am going to journal about one thing that truly made me smile. In our world we seem to get so wrapped up in things that aren't going our way or people that aren't making choices we think are right, it's time to let go and let God take control.  We are surrounded by so much beauty and so many "tender mercies" of our Heavenly Father, lets bask in this light knowing that we have the ability to choose complete happiness and like the prophet Joseph Smith said, allow happiness "to be the end thereof" of our lives!
